ArcPad 10.0.4 Now Available
- * Typo errors on the StreetMap Data Activation box;
- * Non-English AXF file and field names are no longer corrupted when displayed in ArcGIS desktop. (Note: This fix requires FME Desktop 2012 SP1 – more information here: http://www.safe.com/support/support-resources/fme-downloads/);
- * Synchronization issues when using the ArcGIS Server ArcPad Extension to update field and office edits.
Additionally, ArcPad now supports the $GPGST NMEA sentence which means you will be able to see additional measures of the GPS signal quality in the GPS Position Window > Quality tab.
If you are current on your ArcPad maintenance, you can download v10.0.4 from the Esri Customer Care Portal at http://customers.esri.com. If you’d like to try v10.0.4, you can download the trial version at http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcpad/evaluate.html.

This means you have to purchase FME desktop 2012? Or is it possible to run the installation program for FME desktop and get the functionality in ArcPAD?
thanks,

To use the ArcPad AXF Reader you require either a current licensed version of FME Desktop.
Support for reading ArcPad AXF data will be available in the ArcGIS Data Interoperability Extension (a subset of FME), starting with version 10.1. Until that time, Safe are offering the ability to read ArcPad AXF data via a free temporary* license of FME ArcPad Data Interoperability Edition. For more information go to www.safe.com/arcpad

Are there any specifics on the updates/fixes to the sync issues with the Server extension?

The specifics are: On some machines ReplicateAXF.exe failed to run due to not being able to obtain a valid license. The consequence of this is that replication does not happen and features created on the desktop or on other devices may not appear in ArcPad. Likewise edits made in ArcPad may not appear on the desktop. The object used to obtain the license has been changed.
